The D25CEQ is an Electro-Acoustic guitar so is great for both worlds, whether you practice in the bedroom or play through an AMP this guitar will suit both.
I would say this was more suited to a learner/Intermediate player. The body has a great cutout do you can get right to the bottom of the fret board to the higher notes unlike the full bodied guitar where you could be stretching your fingers to reach those higher notes.
Also on the body is a 4 Band EQ and tuner which is great if your on set for a quick tune up, it recognises the note automatically and the display says whether you are sharp, flat or in tune. The EQ consists of Bass, Med, Treb and Presence, there is also a volume slider, on/off button and manual/auto tune button.
The pickup is Piezo Transducer and does a very good.
The make up of the guitar consists of:-
– Spruce Top
– Mahogany Back & Sides
– Rosewood Fingerboard
– Mahogany Neck
– Dovetail Neck Joint
– Rosewood Bridge
– Chrome Die Cast Machine Heads
– Piezo Transducer Pickup
– Ashton 4-band EQ 8030 Pre-amp
The D25CEQ sounds great and has some nice tones to it, the neck is narrow enough for the smallest of hands to get around as your not stretching and it makes the experience quite enjoyable rather than trying to stretch across the board and giving up.
I played this one at an open mic night and I must admit I was quite impressed with how it coped with what it was put through and the fact that it had a built in tuner was a blessing.
When I got this one it was part of a package:
3 x Hard Plectrums
Spare set of strings
I would recommend this one to any budding guitarist, learning your lessons; writing a song or play on the stage the D25CEQ will not let you down.
